WELCOME TO THE CENTER FOR ELECTRONIC MATERIALS AND DEVICES!
The Electronic Materials and Devices Center (EM&D Center) is a core facility at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst that serves surrounding academic and business community by providing access to a suite of the state-of-the-art analytical instruments for characterization of electronic and optoelectronic materials and devices. The facility is equipped with a line of tools for solution-based fabrication of electronic and optoelectronic devices, such as field-effect transistors, solar cells, light-emitting diodes, etc. The material and device fabrication can be done in the inert atmosphere of a glove box or in ambient air. Several analytical techniques are available for studies of structural, optical, electrical, electrochemical and electronic properties of materials.
Please explore this website and inquire with the facility personnel to discuss your specific research needs.
